McLaren Promoted to Assistant AD for Ticketing & Sales

ATLANTA–Scott McLaren, a member of the the Georgia Tech Athletic Association staff since 2002, has been promoted to Assistant Director of Athletics for Ticketing and Sales, Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich announced.

McLaren originally joined the Tech staff as Director of Ticket Operations, and in 2004, he was elevated to Director of Marketing and Sales.

During his time at Tech, McLaren has implemented technological advances and customer service initiatives, including real-time, on-line ticketing, both for season tickets and single-game tickets, and extended hours for telephone orders. Tech reached record numbers for football season ticket sales this year.

McLaren came to Tech in 2002 after six years in the Florida State athletics department, including two years as assistant ticket manager and four years as information technology manager.

A native of Griffin, Ga., McLaren earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Florida State in 1992 and then completed a master’s degree in sports administration from FSU in 2004. He lettered one year for the Seminoles’ football team.
