AUBURN, Ala. – In his second solid performance in as many days, Georgia Tech junior Paul McCarty finished 17th in the men’s three-meter competition Saturday at the 2003 NCAA Zone B Diving Championships at Auburn’s James E. Martin Aquatic Center.
McCarty scored 461.60 points in the 11-dive competition. Following the six-dive preliminary session, he was among the top 18 divers with 279.65 points in the competition and advanced to the finals of the event. McCarty placed 15th on the one-meter board Friday.
In women’s one-meter action Saturday, Tech freshman Laurissa Prystaj finished 36th with a score of 205.10.
In the final swimming action of the 2002-03 season, senior All-American Shilo Ayalon and freshman Sam Morgan will compete at the NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, March 27-29 in Austin, Texas.
