Jemea Thomas Earns Second Straight ACC Honor

For the second straight week, Georgia Tech senior Jemea Thomas has hauled in Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Back of the Week honors following another clutch performance in Saturday’s 21-10 win over Pittsburgh.

Thomas had a team-best six solo tackles, a tackle for loss, a pass break-up and his eighth career interception. The Queensland, Ga., native, who has 21 tackles over the last two games combined, sealed the Pitt victory with his interception at the Pitt 4-yard line with less than a minute to play.

The ACC honor is the third of Thomas’ career.
