Jackets Open Season Against Tennessee

ATLANTA — The Georgia Tech men’s swimming and diving team will open up the 2005-06 season against Tennessee in the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center on Thursday, Oct. 13. The dual meet is slated for 2 p.m.

The Jackets finished third at the 2005 Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, hosted by Tech, and finished the dual meet season with a record of 5-4. The Yellow Jackets finished in a tie for 32nd place at the NCAA Championships.

The women’s swimming and diving team will host defending NCAA national champion and archrival Georgia, along with the men, on Friday, Oct. 14, in the GTAC. That meet is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.

All home dual meets are free admission. The Yellow Jackets will host the 2006 Men’s NCAA Championships in the Aquatic Center, March 23-25. Tickets for the national championship meet will be available on Jan. 1, 2006, at Ramblinwreck.com, or 888-TECH-TIX.
