ATLANTA – No. 22 Georgia Tech will host No. 10 Alabama, Tuesday, April 13, for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. on Glenn Field. The Yellow Jackets are 12-3 at home this season and are 3-5 against the Top 25. Tech enters the doubleheader with a record of 34-11, while the Crimson Tide are 32-11.
The Rambling Wreck continue to better the school record in shutouts (17), tallying the 22nd of the season this past Saturday versus Virginia. The Yellow Jackets rank second in the Atlantic Coast Conference in team pitching (0.78 ERA) and hitting (.288).
Last season, Alabama and Georgia Tech split in Tuscaloosa, Ala. ‘Bama took game one, 3-2, while junior Jessica Sallinger tossed a four-hitter in the nightcap to give the Jackets a 2-1 win.
Tech (1-3) will hit the road for two pivotal ACC match-ups at NC State (2-2) on April 17 and North Carolina (5-1) on April 18.
