GT Athletics Partnering with Veteran Tickets Foundation

Aug. 13, 2015

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech Athletics and the Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix) have teamed up to help create memorable experiences for active and non-active military personnel, veterans, and their families by sending them to Georgia Tech sporting events. Vet Tix provides free event tickets to currently serving military, veterans and family members of those killed-in-action to sporting events, concerts, performing arts, and family activities.

In addition to tickets donated directly from the Georgia Tech Athletic Association, Georgia Tech fans can help by donating tickets that may go unused or by purchasing tickets to be donated directly to Vet Tix.

Since Veteran Tickets Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit foundation, individual ticket holders and businesses can receive tax deductions for donating their tickets to Georgia Tech football, men’s & women’s basketball, volleyball, and baseball games.

“Our fans have embraced opportunities to donate tickets to United States military members for post-season games,” said Georgia Tech Athletic Director Mike Bobinski. “The partnership with Vet Tix allows our fans to show that same support by donating tickets to Georgia Tech sporting events right here on campus.”

“We are truly honored that Georgia Tech, one the most prestigious institutes and successful collegiate sports programs in the country, is supporting Veteran Tickets Foundation and those who have served and are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces,” stated Edward Rausch, COO, Chairman and co-founder of Veteran Tickets Foundation. “I know the upcoming season for the Yellow Jackets will be an exciting one for our veterans, men and women in uniform and their families.”

Veterans and currently serving members of the United States military can sign up and request free and discounted tickets to Georgia Tech games and other events at www.vettix.org.

ABOUT VET TIX
Veteran Tickets Foundation is a national 501(c)3 non-profit foundation supporting our military community. Vet Tix provides free event tickets to currently serving military, veterans and family members of KIA to sporting events, concerts, performing arts and family activities. Our military and veterans experience many difficult transitions as they reintegrate back into their families, their communities and eventually civilian life. Attending these events improves morale, strengthens family bonds through shared interests and encourages service members to stay engaged with local communities and American life. In gratitude for their service and to support their reintegration processes, Vet Tix is dedicated to giving back to those who gave us so much. Please visit our website www.VetTix.org.
