THE FLATS — The NFL Postseason is upon us and Georgia Tech football features seven #ProJackets associated with playoff teams this season as Wild Card Weekend begins Saturday.
Wild Card Weekend starts off with Seahawks and the 49ers on Saturday, with Jordan Mason having made significant strides as the backup running back. Just since Week 11, Mason has taken 43 carries for 258 yards and a touchdown.
The second game on Saturday will feature the Chargers and the Jaguars at 8:15 p.m. Adam Gotsis continues to be a steady defensive lineman for Jacksonville, appearing in 15 games this season and recording 19 tackles, (10 solo), three tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, nine QB hits, a fumble recovery and two passes defended. On the other side, Jeremiah Attaochu will continue to help Los Angeles prep as a member of their practice squad.
The next chance to catch former Yellow Jackets will be the 8:15 p.m. Sunday night game between the Ravens and the Bengals. Helping Cincinnati continue to prepare throughout the postseason on the practice squad is former Tech offensive lineman Devin Cochran.
Then on Monday night for the Wild Card Weekend finale, the Cowboys and Buccaneers will face off. Moving to Tampa this season, Shaq Mason has started in all 17 games for the Bucs this season at offensive guard. Helping Dallas prepare throughout the playoffs will be Juanyeh Thomas on the practice squad.
Jacket Nation will have to wait until next weekend to see Harrison Butker and his Kansas City Chiefs will play on Saturday, Jan. 21 after securing the first-round bye.
