… Tech did not score in the first quarter for the second straight week and has been outscored 21-0 over the last two Saturdays
… Tech scored in each of its first 18 quarters this season, but was shutout in 5 of its next 11 quarters, including the first quarter today
… Miami recovered a Tech fumble in the end zone in the second quarter. The last time a Tech opponent returned a fumble for a TD came on Nov. 27, 2010 by Georgia
… Tech’s blocked field goal (by Jamal Golden) gives the Yellow Jackets a blocked kick and a blocked punt (vs. North Carolina) this season. Last year Tech did not block a punt or a kick. Tech had one blocked kick/punt in 2009.
