Paul Johnson called it the best effort play he’s seen in his 36-year coaching career. When Pittsburgh’s James Conner broke free for what seemed like a long scoring run, D.J. White never gave up, tracking him down just shy of the goal line and forcing a fumble.
The ball went through the end zone, resulting in a Georgia Tech touchback. The Jackets capitalized and took a 14-0 lead en route to a 56-28 Coastal Division victory.
The Jackets host Virginia at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday. Watch the Georgia Tech Football Report on SportSouth Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
