Georgia Tech Athletics Begins Fifth-Annual Donor Thank-a-Thon

Oct. 30, 2017

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech athletics launched its fifth-annual Donor Thank-a-Thon event on Sunday.

Organized by the Student-Athlete Advisory Board and the Alexander-Tharpe (A-T) Fund, 94 student-athletes placed more than 1,400 telephone phone calls to donors on Sunday evening, thanking them for their contributions and support of Georgia Tech athletics. The Thank-a-Thon continues on Monday and Wednesday with 200-plus student-athletes expected to make more than 3,000 calls over the three-day period.

In addition to making calls, student-athletes will reach out to additional donors via hand-written letters that describe the donors’ impact on student-athletes’ lives.

Since 1949, the A-T Fund has served as the primary fundraising arm for the Georgia Tech Athletic Association, helping support endowments, facilities and current operations. Visit atfund.org for complete information on how to include Georgia Tech athletics in your philanthropy.
