THE FLATS – Due to unplayable field conditions and impending weather In Syracuse, N.Y., the three-game series between Georgia Tech and Syracuse will be played at Mewborn Field in Atlanta. The Jackets and Orange will play a single game Friday at 4 p.m. and a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 2 p.m.

The Jackets are looking to bounce back from a pair of losses Wednesday at NC State. Five Yellow Jackets are hitting above .300 lead by Hayley Downs (.391), Ashley Thomas (.388), Kanani Cabrales (.372), Alysha Rudnik (.372) and Maddie Lionberger (.318).
As a team, the Jackets are out-hitting the opponent 208-181 and out-scoring the competition 134-108, averaging five runs and eight hits per contest.

Georgia Tech leads the series 1-0. The only meeting between the two teams occurred on March 8, 2002 in Pleasanton, Calif. and the Jackets won 6-4.
