Fogdemark Notches Double-Double but Sweden Falls to Germany

July 19, 2010

Georgia Tech incoming freshman Frida Fogdemark recorded a double-double but the U20 Swedish National Team fell to Germany, 84-57, Monday at the Grobiņa Sports Hall.

Fogdemark netted 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Sweden, while Georgia Tech rising sophomore Danielle Hamilton-Carter led her team with 18 points and five boards.

Germany opened an eight-point gap in the first quarter and built it to 15 points with an 8-0 run in the second.

The Germans were just too much for Sweden in the second half, continually extending the gap as the Swedes did not have an answer.

Sweden will next face Romania Tuesday in Grobiņa, Latvia.
