Following the final round of the 2013 NFL Draft Saturday night, three former Georgia Tech standouts signed free-agent contracts and two others were invited to a free agent try-out.
Cornerback Rod Sweeting was expected to be drafted between rounds 4-6, but went undrafted and signed a free-agent contract with the New Orleans Saints. Defensive tackle T.J. Barnes signed with Jacksonville and DT/DE Izaan Cross with the Buffalo Bills.
Running back Orwin Smith, who played well in a postseason all-star game, was invited to a free agent try-out with Tampa Bay. Long snapper Tyler Morgan reached a similar agreement with the Carolina Panthers.
