Kevin Leonard joined Georgia Tech’s football staff as senior defensive analyst in 2024.
Leonard spent each of the previous four seasons working under Georgia Tech defensive coordinator Tyler Santucci.
Leonard was a defensive analyst, in 2022, at his alma mater, Texas A&M, where he served as a student assistant from 2019-21. He joined forces with Santucci, who was the Aggies’ linebackers coach in 2020-21 and co-defensive coordinator/linebackers coach in 2022. Leonard was then a graduate assistant under Santucci at Duke in 2023. In the duo’s lone season at Duke, the Blue Devils had the ACC’s top-ranked scoring defense in 2023, allowing just 19.0 points per game, which was good for 16th nationally. Duke also ranked among the nation’s top 50 in rushing defense, passing defense, total defense, tackles for loss, third-down defense, fourth-down defense and red-zone defense.
A 2022 Texas A&M graduate, Leonard majored in multidisciplinary engineering technology with a minor in embedded systems.
