Caravan Info for Tech-Georgia Volleyball Match

Aug. 27, 2008

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech volleyball team will have several fans in attendance at its 2008 season opener this weekend when a full bus of SWARM members, followed by a caravan of Tech students, faculty, staff and Yellow Jacket fans make their way to Athens Friday afternoon.

Because more than 50 members of the SWARM have signed up to go, there are no other spaces available on the charter bus, but Tech fans are invited to join in the caravan to Athens.

The group will depart from the Alexander Memorial Coliseum parking lot (located adjacent to the interstate and off 10th Street) at 4:30 p.m. Friday afternoon to make the trip to Athens for the Yellow Jackets’ 7 p.m. match against Georgia. The match will be held at the Ramsey Center on the campus of the University of Georgia, and tickets are free.

For more information on joining the caravan, fans may contact Kevin Kitchens in the Georgia Tech Development Office (kkitchens@athletics.gatech.edu / 404.894.5390).
