July 7, 2010

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech Sophomore Lynn Blau and Freshman Elizabeth Kilborn were named to the 2010 Women’s Tennis All-Atlantic Conference Academic Team, announced today by ACC Commissioner John D. Swofford.

This was the first academic honor in the two Yellow Jackets’ careers. Blau is an Industrial Engineering major, while Kilborn is studying Biology at Georgia Tech.

Student-athletes must have earned a 3.00 GPA during the spring semester and own the same cumulative mark to be eligible for selection to the All-ACC Academic team.

Blau finished the season with a 22-13 overall singles record and had a 17-9 mark during the dual-match season, while Kilborn recorded a 23-9 overall mark and was 19-7 in dual matches. The pair each went 4-0 during the 2010 ACC Tournament to help the Yellow Jackets win the title.
