As part of increasing student and young alumni engagement, the Yellow Jacket Club will be expanded to include an advisory board, consisting of officers, committee chairs, and campus organization liaisons. Applications are closed for student positions for the advisory board.
Georgia Tech Young Alumni can also apply to be a part of the advisory board (committee chair or committee member).
Georgia Tech Athletics and the Alexander-Tharpe Fund have introduced the Yellow Jacket Club to increase engagement among current students and Young Alumni by offering a similar, shared experience between both groups. In 2020, the organization will be expanded to offer both student and young alumni leadership and engagement opportunities.

The vision of the Yellow Jacket Club is to enhance the student and young alumni experience with athletics through social activities, leadership opportunities, traditions, and athletics events. The Yellow Jacket Club builds community and spirit around athletics, beginning with students and continuing after graduation.
Undergraduate and graduate student membership in the Yellow Jacket Club is non-restrictive and open to any currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student at Georgia Tech. Memberships include Alexander-Tharpe Fund Priority Points.
Young Alumni Membership in the Yellow Jacket Club offers a flexible athletics experience geared towards young professionals. Membership also provides an opportunity to give back, get engaged, and benefit from the social and career networking opportunities to advance personal and professional ambitions. Individuals are considered Young Alumni for the first ten years after graduation. Each membership includes Alexander-Tharpe Fund Priority Points. Any young alumni that is a current football or men’s basketball season ticket holder OR has donated at least $50 to the Alexander-Tharpe Fund in the previous year is automatically a member.
What does a double lottery entry mean?
As a Yellow Jacket Club member, if you enter the student ticket lottery for a home game at Bobby Dodd Stadium, you will receive an extra entry into the lottery for the game, providing better odds of being selected for a ticket. In order for the double entry to be applied, you must have purchase a Yellow Jacket Club membership before entering the lottery for that game.
Can I be selected twice for the same lottery?
No – an individual student can only be selected once per home game.
Do I have to enter the lottery for each game?
Yes – each home game will have a separate lottery and students must enter each time – the lottery for each game will open on the Monday before the game at 8am and close on the Tuesday before each game at 5pm.
Are normal student football season tickets being offered this year?
Due to limited capacity, student football season tickets will not be offered for the 2020 season.
Will there still be block seating in the north end zone?
No – there are no block / ground seating arrangements for the 2020 season due to limited capacity.

What makes membership in the Yellow Jacket Club different from just purchasing season tickets?
By being a member of the Yellow Jacket Club, you receive additional benefits and are recognized as a donor to the Alexander-Tharpe Fund – the fundraising arm of Georgia Tech Athletics that provides financial support for student-athlete scholarships, facilities and teams.
Will the 1st and 10 Program still be offered?
No – the Yellow Jacket Club replaces the previous 1st and 10 Program. The Yellow Jacket Club has offerings for both students and young alumni – and offers similar benefits to members.
Can I purchase season tickets without being a member of the Yellow Jacket Club?
Season tickets purchased with the young alumni discount automatically include a membership to the Yellow Jacket Club. Alumni are eligible to use this discount for the first five years after they graduate. Regularly-priced season tickets with no associated TECH Fund donation can still be purchased but do not include a membership.
How long can I claim the young alumni discount?
Alumni can claim the young alumni discount on their season tickets during the first five years after graduation. After the expiration of the young alumni discount, alumni can join the Yellow Jacket Club by purchasing season tickets or by making a $50 donation to the Alexander-Tharpe Fund.
