Wong Named To All-ACC Tennis Team

ATLANTA (Apr. 28) — Freshman Jaime Wong, who led the Georgia Tech women’s tennis team with a 17-3 singles record, was named to the all-Atlantic Coast Conference team.

Wong, from Delray Beach, Fla., won ACC individual titles at No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles. She posted a 7-1 record in ACC singles matches and teamed with freshman Mysti Morris for three conference victories and a 12-7 record at No. 2 doubles.

With a 24-11 overall singles record, Wong’s season ranks among Tech’s best for overall singles victories and dual match wins. She helped the Jackets to their best record since 1990 with a 13-7 overall record and a 4-4 ACC mark.

The 13-member all-ACC team was selected by a vote of the nine league head coaches.
