Sept. 7, 2005

ATLANTA–Georgia Tech student-athletes will assist in the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts by collecting funds for the American Red Cross at Saturday’s football game against North Carolina.

Tech student-athletes, organized by the Student-Athlete Advisory Board, will be stationed at all gates of Bobby Dodd Stadium/Grant Field from the time the gates open at 2 p.m. until just prior to the 3:30 p.m. kickoff.

They will be accepting donations of cash or checks, made out to the American Red Cross.

Please note: The only authorized collection points will be at the gates of Bobby Dodd Stadium. Student-athletes will be attired in gold t-shirts with red crosses.
