Season Highlights - Junior Forward Khalid Moore
Khalid Moore started the last nine games of the season, coinciding with Tech’s eight-game winning streak and NCAA Tournament loss. He averaged 5.9 points, 3.3 rebounds in more than 30 minutes per game over that stretch, and played more than 30 minutes in six of the games. Moore was assigned to defend the Pitt’s ACC-leading scorer and rebounder, Justin Champagnie, and held him to 13 points, six under his average, on six FG attempts, and six rebounds, half his average, and scored seven points with a pair of 3-point field goals in a season-high 37:35. He scored nine points, matching his ACC high for the year, with five rebounds and six assists (no turnovers) against Syracuse, and had seven points, six boards March 2 vs. Duke. Moore was a key player in Tech’s win at Nebraska with season highs of 11 points (5-7 FG) and eight rebounds.
