2023: Started all but one match (30 of 31) in her first season on The Flats, appearing in 111 sets and racking up a team-best 64 blocks while adding 138 kills on .309 hitting…she saved her best for the NCAA Tournament where she set a new career high with 11 kills on .667 hitting in the first round match against South Alabama (11/30), the highest hitting percentage by a Jacket in an NCAA Tournament match lasting longer than three sets in the modern scoring era…she reached double-digit kills one other occasion, in a five-set victory over Virginia (10/8)…achieved a season-best five blocks on four occasions, including a stretch of back-to-back 5.0 block performances against Clemson (9/20) and NC State (9/24)…made two solo blocks in GT’s sweep over Syracuse (11/19), the first multiple solo block match of her career.
2022 (at Texas): Member of the 2022 National Championship winning team although did not enter a match.
2021 (at Texas): Played in one set as a true freshman, against Texas Tech (11/26).
High School: A two-time All-District player for Austin High School…following a stellar senior season, she was named to the AVCA High School All-Region teams… finished with 68 kills and 29 total blocks, including 22 solo blocks playing in a team-high 41 sets…heading into the 2020 season, she was named an AVCA Elite Rising Senior and landed on the Under Armour All-American watch list in 2020…also the district 26-6A Newcomer of the Year in 2019 as a junior.
Personal: Pierce is the daughter of Darrell and Denise Pierce and has two sisters, Daniellie and Darolyn…mother, Denise, attended the University of Texas School of Law.
