THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech Athletic Association announced the addition of Lauren Rupert to the sports information staff as an assistant director.
Rupert will serve as the Yellow Jackets’ cross country, softball, track and field, and volleyball media contact.
She comes to Georgia Tech with experience at both the collegiate and professional levels. Most recently she was a media relations intern at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she worked with the Blazers’ softball, women’s soccer, cross country and track and field teams.
Rupert is a 2011 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and worked in the Panthers’ media relations office for two years. While at Pitt, she also interned with the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League’s Pittsburgh Penguins.
