Jalissa Johnson joined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association in August 2019 as an assistant cheerleading coach and was promoted to associate all-girl head coach in 2023. Johnson came to The Flats after spending three seasons as a part of the Universal Cheerleading Association staff. Her primary role with the UCA was to develop and mentor the athletes in elite stunt skill progression. Johnson also spent one season on the premier USA all-girl national team following four years of competition with the University of West Georgia competitive all-girl team. Johnson graduated from UWG in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in human resources. During her undergraduate career, she competed at the UCA Collegiate National Championships and was a three-year cheerleading national champion.
