Steve Robertson joined the Georgia Tech athletics’ staff in December 2020 as the associate director of marketing & fan experience. He currently oversees the marketing and promotional efforts for both men’s and women’s basketball programs, as well as manage all digital advertising initiatives.

Robertson came to The Flats after most recently serving as the director of experiential innovation at the University of Central Florida where he oversaw all marketing and promotional efforts for football, men’s basketball, volleyball, and men’s and women’s tennis. Robertson joined UCF in August of 2018 as the associate director of experiential innovation, working primarily as the secondary lead for football, and marketing sport lead for women’s basketball and men’s and women’s tennis. He also oversaw the student Knightmare Advisory Council and served as the athletics representative for new student orientation.

Robertson got his start in marketing at Longwood University, where he spent four years holding various roles including director of marketing fan engagement (2016-18), assistant director of athletics marketing (2015-16), and athletics marketing assistant (2014-15).

He earned a bachelor’s degree in sport and recreation management from James Madison University in 2014 with a minor in coaching, and worked as a student in the marketing department with the Dukes. Robertson also completed his master’s degree in 2017 from West Virginia in sport management.
