Sarah Richardson joined Georgia Tech athletics in March 2023 as a member of the Alexander-Tharpe Fund before transitioning to her current role as assistant director of athletic operations in September 2025. Richardson served as the associate director for development stewardship in the A-T Fund for two years.
Richardson came to The Flats from Atlanta’s nonprofit sector, most recently serving as the development director for Wellspring Living since Nov. 2017. At Wellspring Living, she was responsible for major donor cultivation and stewardship, partner engagement, special events, communications strategy and volunteerism.
Prior to Wellspring Living, Richardson was part of the fundraising teams at Atlanta Habitat for Humanity and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
A Georgia Institute of Technology graduate, Richardson earned a bachelor of science in public policy with a pre-law certificate in 2011. She continued her education at Georgia State where she graduated with a masters of public administration in nonprofit management in 2013. While an undergrad at Georgia Tech, Richardson worked as a student assistant for Roll Call , helping raise monetary donations to support scholarships, faculty development and research at the Institute.
