Sarah Miller returned to Georgia Tech athletics in August 2022 and serves as the player development coach for the Yellow Jackets’ softball and swimming & diving teams. In her current role, she oversees all aspects of strength and conditioning and wholistic preparation of these student-athletes.
Prior to her arrival on The Flats, Miller held a similar role at the University of Pennsylvania, coaching the Quakers’ fencing, tennis, soccer, squash and volleyball teams. Additionally, she served as the internship coordinator, in which she developed a thorough curriculum to educate and prepare aspiring sport performance coaches.
Miller is not new to Georgia, as she also worked as a sport performance coach at Kennesaw State University, where she served as the primary strength and conditioning coach for golf, lacrosse, soccer and tennis, while assisting with football and baseball. In her time with the Owls, she propelled the men’s tennis team toward winning the ASUN championship, and the women’s lacrosse team to an historically record-breaking winning season.
She logged her start in the collegiate sphere right here at Georgia Tech as a professional intern responsible for women’s basketball during their summer semester, and was heavily involved with men’s basketball, tennis and volleyball. She also worked in the private sector as a strength and conditioning coach for a variety of high-school and semi-professional athletes.
Before her entrance into the NCAA, Miller worked in film and media as a stunt performer and fight choreographer, which contributes to her innovative perspective of movement and the human body.
A Maryland native, she earned her bachelor’s degree at Point Park University in Pittsburgh where she started a strength program for dancers at the University’s globally acclaimed Conservatory. She later earned her master of science in applied physiology and kinesiology: human performance at the University of Florida.
She holds multiple certifications with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, as well as with the Society of American Fight Directors, Sparta Science, and the American Red Cross.
