Rachel Galatowitsch joined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association in July 2023 as an associate director for facilities and events.
Galatowitsch most recently served as an assistant director of event management at the University of Minnesota where she was the primary game manager for women’s basketball, rowing and volleyball, while overseeing management of baseball, women’s gymnastics and swimming and diving. Additionally, she was the department liaison for game day personnel and was a key component to several NCAA Tournaments, including the 2022 Women’s Final Four, 2023 Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships and opening rounds for volleyball.
Galatowitsch started at Minnesota in 2019 as an event management assistant before transitioning to an assistant director of operations at Mariucci and Ridder Arena in 2020 and her most recent role in 2021 – assistant director of event management.
Galatowitsch got her start in athletics at the University of Central Florida as a facilities and event management intern in 2019. In that role, she was the secondary game manager for men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, golf and softball, while serving as the primary contact for special events.
Galatowitsch graduated from the University of Florida in 2019 with a bachelor of science degree in sports management. She earned her master’s degree in sports management from Minnesota in 2022.
