Jermaine Williams was named the assistant athletics director for facilities, operations and events in June 2023.
At Georgia Tech, Williams will be primarily responsible for the oversight of game day operations for men’s basketball and track and field, as well as the following facilities: ACC Network, Anderson Building, Griffin Track, McCamish Pavilion and Zelnak Center.
Williams arrived on The Flats following a five-year stay at the University of South Alabama as an assistant athletic director for facilities and operations. While a Jaguar, Williams was responsible for the planning, oversight and execution of all athletics game and event logistics, including the opening of Hancock Whitney Stadium in 2020. He also oversaw and managed all athletics facilities regarding operations, scheduling, maintenance, renovations and designated projects.
Prior to South Alabama, Williams served as a director of facilities and operations at UNC-Greensboro from 2015-18. In that role, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of six competition and practice venues, assisted in management of the operations budget and oversaw departmental access control.
Williams also held stints at Colorado Mesa University and the University of Puget Sound. At Colorado Mesa University, Williams held the title of assistant athletic director for facilities and operations from 2009-15. He got his start in athletics as the assistant to the athletic director at Puget Sound from 2007-09.
A native of French Link, Ind., native, Williams graduated from Greenville University in 2006 with a bachelor of science in Sport Management.
Williams, and his wife Shayla have two kids, Emma and Jaxon.
