George Fladeland joined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association in August 2023 as a visual content producer.
Fladeland came to The Flats after a two-year stint with Learfield Sports Properties at Virginia Tech, where he served as a social content specialist directing, producing, and filming video content to help elevate Virginia Tech’s athletic department. While at Virginia Tech, Fladeland was responsible for the distribution and tracking of posts over various social media platforms and generated over 22 million impressions for the 2022-23 year.
Prior to his time at Learfield, Fladeland spent two years at The University of Pittsburgh where he served as an assistant director of video services with the football program. In his role at Pitt, Fladeland was responsible for internal highlight videos for Pitt football and provided practice film for coaches. He also aided in the production of social media content for the 2021 Pitt men’s soccer Final Four run, mentored students and assisted with recruitment shoots.
Fladeland has also done freelance work with Kristian Golick Films and WFMZ Channel 69 News in Allentown, Pa. He has also completed internships with Patriot League Athletic Conference (multimedia services) and Reading United A.C. (videographer).
A Lancaster, Pa. native, Fladeland obtained his degree from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania (B.S., Cinema, Television, and Media Production (CTM).
