Emily Brown joined Georgia Tech’s athletic department staff in June 2022 as an academic advisor and was promoted to assistant director of academic services in Sept. 2022. She works primarily with men’s basketball.
Since Brown’s arrival on The Flats, she worked with the baseball, cross country and men’s and women’s track and field programs while an academic advisor before transitioning to men’s basketball.
Brown came to Tech after serving as an academic advisor at Penn State during the 2021-22 school year where she worked with the football program. Prior to her one-year position with Penn State, she spent two years (2019-21) as a student-athlete services graduate assistant at Jacksonville University. While at Jacksonville University, Brown assisted with the men’s and women’s basketball programs.
Brown graduated from Shippensburg University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in human resource management and a minor in international studies. As an undergraduate, she was a letterwinner on the Shippensburg University women’s soccer team. Brown earned her master’s degree in sports management, as well as an MBA, while at Jacksonville University.
