Carly Welch has been a member of the Georgia Tech Athletics Association for over ten years, joining the staff in July 2025. She has held her current role of assistant director of video operations since 2018 and is primarily responsible for broadcast production and overseeing all broadcast graphics.
Welch played a key role in the launch of the ACC Network and Georgia Tech’s role in its deployment. She also aids in training student interns for the department.
Welch first held the role of assistant video coordinator for football when she joined the GTAA full-time in 2015, overseeing the filming and editing of all football coaches’ video, while managing the department’s student workers. She began her career on The Flats as an intern in the football video office from 2013-15.
Before arriving at Georgia Tech, she was an undergraduate student assistant for the Arkansas State University football video department (2011-13). Welch earned her bachelor’s degree in radio/television from Arkansas State in 2013 and graduated with University Honors as a member of the Honors College.
