Brendan Clark joined the Alexander-Tharpe Fund as the associate director for development in August 2024, following a three-year stint at Ohio University.
During his time in Athens, Ohio, Clark was elevated from assistant coordinator of development, a position he held from 2022-23, to assistant director in 2023. In these roles, he was instrumental in enhancing sport-specific giving programs, supporting fundraising operations, and collaborating with colleagues to explore new revenue-generating opportunities for the Ohio Bobcat Club, the athletic department’s fundraising arm.
Prior to his time at Ohio University, Clark gained valuable experience as a growth and innovation assistant in the University of North Carolina’s Ram’s Club (2020-21) and contributed to UMass Athletics from 2017-20, working with both the Minutemen Club and the athletics marketing office.
Clark holds a master of business administration and a master of sport administration from Ohio University (2022, 2023). He also earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and sport management from the University of Massachusetts in 2021.
Originally from Springfield, Mass., Clark now resides in Atlanta.
