As a Freshman (2023): Appeared in all 27 games, starting in 24 of them … Played catcher in all except two outings … Batted .219 through her freshman season by way of 14 hits, a double and three home runs for six RBI and four runs scored … Slugged .375 with a .254 on-base percentage … Blasted a walk-off solo home run to secure Tech’s upset of No. 18 Auburn, the lone ranked victory of the season (March 8) … Caught a pair of Tigers attempting to steal … Went 2-for-3 in her first collegiate appearance as Tech topped Saint Francis, 7-0 (Feb. 12) … Went 2-for-3 with her first career home run for a career-high two RBI in a 7-6 triumph over Penn State (Feb. 25) … Went 2-for-3 with her third career home run against No. 10 Duke (April 23) … Tied sixth in program history with 14 putouts against Alabama State (April 19) … Third on the squad with 139 putouts.
High School: Hunter was a four-year letter winner at catcher and shortstop for Roswell High School. Also earning the nod as captain for a season, Hunter comes in as the No. 24 prospect and No. 8 catcher in the nation according to Extra Inning Softball. Throughout her high school career, Hunter has piled up individual recognitions being named 7A First Team All-Region at catcher and All-Summer team by Extra Inning Softball in 2020 and 2021 while being honored by the Hornets as defensive player of the year twice, offensive player of the year and MVP. Hunter has also competed in multiple GADC All-State games. Academically, Hunter was named to the Principal’s Honor Roll each semester of her high school career and plans to major in business at Georgia Tech.
