Eddie Prasch, a seven-year pro, is in his second season aiding with the Georgia Tech baseball program.
An Atlanta native, Prasch was a third-round draft pick by the Pittsburgh Pirates out of Milton High School in 2004. He played six years in the Pirates[apos] organization, reaching the AA-level with the Altoona Curve. Prasch played his final pro season in 2010 with the Kansas City Royals[apos] A-affiliate in Wilmington, Del.
At Milton High School, Prasch was the starting shortstop on the 2004 Georgia 5A State Championship team. That season, he was awarded the Proline Georgia Player of the Year award, was named a USA Today All-America, and to the Atlanta Braves 500 Club.
Prasch has also spent a number of years as a private baseball instructor, and a youth travel league coach.
