2025 (Sophomore): The Friday night starter all season, McKee started all 16 series openers for Tech in his second year, posting an 8-3 record and a 4.84 ERA with a team-high 83 strikeouts over a team-high 80.0 innings pitched…Tech won 12 of the 16 games in which McKee started including both of the Jackets postseason wins…Was at his best in the postseason, starting the ACC Tournament Quarterfinals against Cal (May 22) and the Oxford Regional opener against Western Kentucky (May 30), going 2-0 with a 2.03 ERA over 13.1 innings with 16 strikeouts and only one extra base hit allowed…Finished tied for 6th in the ACC with eight wins as one of only six ACC pitchers to have started 16 or more games…McKee set the tone from the beginning, pitching 5.0 innings without allowing an earned run in his opening day start against Old Dominion (Feb. 14)…Followed that with another 5.0 innings and only one earned run in his second start vs. Marshall (Feb. 21), earning his first win of the season…Set a new career-high with 10 strikeouts in his third start vs. Western Michigan (Feb. 28)…Was dominant in the ACC home opener against Pitt (March 14) pitching 6.0 innings, allowing only four base runners (two hits, two walks) while striking out six and allowing only one run to collect the win…pitched a career-long 7.0 innings twice, first at Miami (April 18) allowing only two earned runs and again in the NCAA Tournament vs. Western Kentucky (May 30) when he pitched 7.0 innings on a career-high 113 pitches and only one earned run and six strikeouts…Matched his career-best with 10 strikeouts over 6.1 innings of work in the ACC Tournament Quarterfinals vs. Cal (May 22)…His 4.84 ERA was the lowest of any Yellow Jacket with more than 10 starts in a single season since Brant Hurter in 2021.
2024 (Freshman): Pitched in 18 games for the Yellow Jackets in his first year on The Flats, making eight starts and finishing with a 7.28 ERA and 61 strikeouts over 47.0 innings … finished with a 4-5 record recording one save … was the second arm out of the bullpen for Tech’s season opener against Radford (Feb. 16) pitching 2.1 scoreless innings and allowing only two baserunners, effectivley quieting Radford’s offense to allow GT to extend its 10-8 lead to the eventual 21-8 final score … threw two more dominant innings, striking out four and allowing only one batter to reach base (walk) in his third appearance, vs. Georgia State (Feb. 27) … made his first career start in the second game of a doubleheader against Youngstown State (March 9) pitching 4.0 innings and striking out seven without allowing a run for his first win at the college level … eventually took over the Sunday starter role, pitching in the final game of the last seven ACC series with GT winning five of his seven starts in conference play … made his first ACC start at Pittsbugh (April 7) throwing 5.0 innings and striking out a season high nine batters on his way to the victory … he would rack up nine strikeouts in two more appearances that year: vs. Miami (April 28) and vs. Duke (May 12) … pitched a season long 6.1 innings to get nine strikeouts against Duke … made two appearances out of the bullpen in the NCAA Tournament … earned his first-career save in the elimination game against Army (June 1)
High School: Rated as the No. 35 right-handed pitcher in the country and No. 5 RHP in the state of Georgia by Perfect Game … Also rated as the No. 13 overall prospect out of Georgia by PG … A four-year letterwinner at Mount Paran Christian School, playing both shortstop and on the mound … Helped lead Mount Paran to 2021 state championship, in addition to two region championships (2021, 2022) … Named a three-time first-team all-state pitcher … Also earned first-team all-region three times … Recorded two no-hitters during his career … Set the career RBI record at Mount Paran … Set the single-season doubles school record.
