Named to the Nashville Regional All-Tournament Team… Was one of four players on the team to start all 64 games… Has missed just three games in his collegiate career… Hit .260 for the season with a team-leading and career-high 18 doubles, one triple, six home runs and 32 RBI… Slugged a career-best .430 and posted a career-best .357 on-base percentage… … Led the team with 11 sacrifice bunts… Turned it on over the last 20 games by clubbing four of his six homers and raising his average nearly 20 points… Came up big for the Jackets in the series win over No. 2 North Carolina, hitting a walk-off home run in the ninth inning during the 5-4 win on Friday (May 10) and then hitting a two-run homer in the 7th inning on May 12 to trigger Tech[apos]s comeback — Tech won the UNC finale 9-8 in 11 innings… Was named to the NCAA Nashville Regional All-Tournament after hitting .350 (7-for-20) in the tournament with three doubles and two RBI — he tied a career high with three hits and another career high of two doubles in Tech[apos]s 5-0 win over No. 2 Vanderbilt… Scored the game winning run in the bottom of the ninth versus St. John[apos]s on Feb. 23 after reaching on a two-base error… Enjoyed a productive series versus Rutgers with four hits, two doubles, three RBI and three runs… Recorded his first three-hit game since his freshman season with a 3-for-4 effort, an RBI and two runs in the 16-9 win over Mercer on March 5… Had at least a hit in all three games of the Florida State series to extend his hitting streak to six games — was 2-for-4 with an RBI in the middle game of the series… Helped turn all three double plays in Tech[apos]s 7-5 win at Georgia on April 9, including a highlight-reel 6-4-3 that saved a run in the fifth with the Jackets leading 6-4… Matched his career high of three runs scored in the Georgia game on May 19 at Russ Chandler Stadium… Had three hits in the Miami series (two homers and a triple) and drove in four runs — the triple was the second of his career and first since 2011… Tied a career-high with three hits and matched his season-high with two RBI in Tech[apos]s 4-3 win over No. 7 Florida State on May 23 in the ACC Tournament — his dramatic home run with two outs in the top of the ninth inning was the difference and it came one batter after A.J. Murray launched a game-tying solo home run of FSU[apos]s closer.

Opened the season as Tech[apos]s starting shortstop, moved to second base for an 11-game stint and then settled back at short for the balance of the season… Started 62 games… Hit .266 for the season with solid power numbers – 11 doubles, seven home runs and 33 RBI… His seven homers were a career high and third-most on the club… His 10 stolen bases (in 14 attempts) were a career high and fourth on the team… Hit .304 over the final 31 games of the season with six of his doubles, five homers and 20 RBI… Went 5-for-11 (.454) with a double, a homer and three RBI in the Boston College series… Played error-free in 17 defensive chances as Tech turned six double plays in the BC series… Went 2-for-4 with two RBI and scored the go-ahead run in 6-4 win over Mercer (4/10)… Had two hits and drove in two runs in the 8-7 win at Wake Forest (4/14)… Had another solid series at No. 6 North Carolina, going 4-for-11, with a double, an RBI, two runs and a stolen base — he scored the game-winning run in Saturday[apos]s 4-2 series clincher… Was clutch in the win over Georgia in front of 19,669 at Turner Field (4/24)… He doubled and scored in the third inning; hit a two-run homer that gave Tech 3-2 lead in the seventh; and in the ninth, he singled with two outs, stole second and scored game-winning run… Collected his first career multi-homer game by hitting two and finishing 3-for-4 with three RBI vs. Clemson (4/27)… Drove in at least a run in all three games of the Clemson series, played error-free on defense and stole two bags… Had an RBI in the Georgia win that clinched the season series (5/9) and was in on all four double plays (tied season high) turned by Tech… Also came up big during Tech[apos]s run to the ACC Championship with four hits, six RBI and two home runs in the tournament, including a homer in the championship game win over Miami… Had three hits in the NCAA Gainesville Regional, including a 2-for-4 effort with an RBI in the 6-2 loss to No. 1 Florida.

One of just three players to start all 63 games … Started the first nine at shortstop before moving to second base for the final 54 … Batted .275 with 13 doubles, one triple, four home runs and 47 RBI … Also was 6-for-7 in stolen base attempts … Had 18 multi-hit and 10 multi-RBI games … Defensively, had a .954 fielding percentage … Fielded 39 double plays on the year, the most on the team and eighth-most in the ACC … Made one of the gutsiest plays in Tech history, scoring the eventual game-winner with a straight steal of home in a 6-5 victory over NC State in 15 innings on May 26 … Ran a career-best 11-game hit streak from May 10-28 … Had two RBI and a triple in his collegiate debut against Kent State (2/18) … Went 2-for-3 and recorded a stolen base versus Georgia State (3/2) … Recorded two RBI and a stolen base against Rutgers while going 2-for-4 (3/4) … Batted .750 with a double and four RBI in Tech[apos]s win over Kennesaw State (3/8) … Followed his performance the next weekend against Maryland by hitting .444 in nine at bats (3/11-13) … Led the team with three RBI in the opener of the NC State series (3/18) … Hit his first career home run — a three-run shot — in the top of the 10th at Miami (3/26) … Had a pair of hits (one double) and drove in three runs in a series opening 9-2 win over Duke (4/1) … Defensively, was a part of four turned double plays with solid defense up the middle in the Duke series (4/1-3) … Had a big series against No. 1 Virginia, going 5-for-11 (.455) with two doubles, a home run and two RBI … Was 2-for-4 with two doubles against two-time ACC Pitcher of the Year Danny Hultzen in the opener … Hit his second homer of the season to lift Tech to a win in Sunday[apos]s finale … Went 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBI to help the Jackets claim the series in Sunday[apos]s finale at Wake Forest (4/17) … Batted .455 (5-for-11) in the series against Illinois-Chicago (5/7-9) … Had a pair hits in the opener, before going 3-for-3 with two RBI in the clinching win on Sunday (5/8) … Followed that up with a 3-for-3, five-RBI game against Savannah State (5/10) … Hit his fourth homer of the season in the win over the Tigers … Collected five hits and two RBI in three games against No. 9 North Carolina (5/13-15) … Drove in the game-tying run in Saturday[apos]s 9-8 comeback win in the ninth inning (5/14) … Helped turn two key double plays in Sunday[apos]s victory to win the series (5/15) … Had four hits, including two doubles at the 2011 ACC Championship (5/25-28).
High School
Two-sport star in baseball and basketball at Calhoun High School… Four-year letterwinner in baseball as a shortstop, including two years as team captain for coach Chip Henderson… The 10th-rated recruit in Georgia and a top-100 recruit in the nation according to Perfect Game … Member of the 2010 state baseball championship team… Named a member of the 2010 All-State team … Was the Rome-Tribune Co-Player of the Year in 2009 with current Yellow Jacket Chase Butler, and outright Player of the Year in 2010… Hit for a .547 batting average with 20 home runs and 67 RBI his junior year in 2009… Put together a stretch of hitting five home runs in five consecutive at-bats… In 2010, hit .464 with 16 home runs and 57 RBIs as a senior… Spent a summer as member of prestigious East Cobb Yankees program… Also a three-year letterwinner and one-year team captain as a guard on the basketball team under coach Casey Baxter… Named to All-Area team as a senior.
