The senior returns as the starting short-snapper… began last season as the snapper on all kicks but relinquished duties on punts midway through 2009… began his career as a walk-on but was awarded a scholarship in 2009 … was in the hunt for the job as the starting long snapper in 2008 but suffered a season-ending knee injury in an August scrimmage… began his career as a tight end … named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll for 2009-10.
2009 (Junior)
Began season as the long snapper for all kicks and punts… remained as the short-snapper all year but relinquished duties as the snapper on punts in late September.
2008 (Sophomore)
Suffered a season-ending knee injury in an early August scrimmage… a former reserve tight end who was the No. 2 long snapper and a second or third team lineman at the time of the injury… a walk-on with good size.
2007 (Freshman)
Worked primarily with the scout team as a tight end… saw action in Tech[apos]s win over Samford.
2006
Joined the team as a walk-on and redshirted.
High School
All-county tight end… two-year letterwinner and team captain at Lassiter High… caught 10 passes for 184 yards as a senior… an all-state lacrosse player… helped his team to a state championship in lacrosse.
