A two-way player for the Jackets as a rookie… Did not pitch until April as he recovered from Tommy John surgery… Made six appearances and earned his first career start on the mound at Mercer on 5/6… At the plate in 11 appearances, he collected a hit, an RBI, two walks and a hit-by-pitch… Drew a four-pitch walk in his first career plate appearance against Albany on 2/22 — a key walk that extended the inning before Arden Pabst launched a walk-out grand slam homer in the 9-8 win… Picked up his first career base hit, an RBI and run scored in a pinch-hit appearance against Indiana State on 2/28… Reached base twice on a walk and hit by pitch and scored once in the 22-6 win over Georgia Southern… Made first career start on 3/15 against Duke as the designated hitter in the seven-hole… Made his pitching debut in relief at Boston College on 4/18 and threw one inning and allowed one unearned run… Tossed a scoreless inning of relief against Kennesaw State on 4/21… Twirled a career-long 2.0 innings against Presbyterian on 5/2 allowing a run on two walks while striking out three… Made his first career start at Mercer on 5/6 and tossed two innings, yielding one run on three hits and a walk… Received a no decision at Mercer in Tech’s 9-7 comeback victory.
