Played at Georgia Tech his freshman season but did not attend Tech in 2014 as he recovered from double hip surgery… Earned a medical redshirt in 2014.
2013
As a rookie, appeared in 18 games and earned his first collegiate start on 2/23 versus St. John’s as the designated hitter… Drove in his first career run with a sacrifice fly in the 16-5 win over Georgia State on 2/19… Recorded his first collegiate base hit, with an RBI and a run in the win over Rutgers on 3/3… Walked and scored in the win over Savannah State on 4/16… Drove in a run with a ground ball at Miami on 5/17.
Before Tech
A four-year baseball letterwinner at Darlington School under head coach Kent Harrison … Played first and third base, the outfield, and pitched during his four year career … Was named All-Region and All-Area (2009-2012 seasons) as well as All-Region and All-Area Player of the Year by the Rome News Tribune … Was a member of the 2009 and 2011 region championship teams … Holds school record for most home runs in a single season (14 in 2011) … Chose Georgia Tech for its prestigious baseball program, proximity to home, and the educational opportunity … Played summer baseball for the East Cobb Yankees in the summer of 2012.
