A returning starter at offensive tackle… emerged as a starter at right tackle late in 2008 after injuries to starting senior tackles David Brown and Andrew Gardner… a mobile, versatile lineman who has found a home at tackle in Paul Johnson[apos]s offense after bouncing around to different positions earlier in his career… began his career as a tight end in 2007 and briefly moved to A-back in the spring of 2008 before landing on the offensive line… perhaps no other player on the roster has changed positions and jersey numbers more often … graduated in the summer of 2010 and is playing this fall as a graduate student.

2009 (Junior)
Started the first nine games of the season as well as the FedEx Orange Bowl… missed four games late in the season with a lower leg injury suffered at Vanderbilt (Oct. 31)… had started 13 consecutive games prior to the injury… helped Georgia Tech lead the ACC in rushing offense and total offense.

2008 (Sophomore)
Emerged as the starter at right tackle Nov. 8 at North Carolina after starting left tackle Andrew Gardner underwent season-ending surgery… saw action at both tackle positions… saw action in every game… was key in helping the Yellow Jackets rank first in the ACC in rushing (273.2 ypg)… helped the Yellow Jackets rush for 409 yards against 13th-ranked Georgia (Nov. 29)… actually had his first career rushing attempt — on a tackle-eligible lateral — against the Bulldogs… part of an offense that produced 472 rushing yards vs. No. 23 Miami (Nov. 20)… helped the Yellow Jackets rush for 326 yards in his first career start at North Carolina (Nov. 8)… saw significant action in the win over Florida State (Nov. 1)… played close to 40 snaps in the Gardner-Webb game (Oct. 11)… fielded a short kickoff and returned it eight yards against Mississippi State (Sept. 20)… saw significant duty vs. Jacksonville State (Aug. 28)… perhaps no Tech player changed positions and jersey numbers more frequently between 2007-08… was a reserve tight end in 2007… spent time in the spring at the A-back position, where he was a bruising ball-carrier… moved to his new home on the offensive line in August.

2007 (Freshman)
Played in three games — Sept. 8 vs. Samford and in consecutive games against Miami and Army.

2006
Redshirted as a true freshman.

PrepStar All-Region selection… Three-time honorable mention all-state selection . . . Also earned all-Metro and all-county honors… Had 48 catches for 789 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior… Coached by John Grass at Moody High… Played his first three years of high school at Albertville (Ala.)
