TOP STORYLINES

• Georgia Tech baseball begins its seven-game homestand on Tuesday when it hosts in-state foe Mercer on April 25 at Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium.

• Georgia Tech took one of three against No. 17 Miami (Fla.) in its fourth weekend series against a top-25 team and third road series.

• Tech has been snake bitten all year by injuries, not having its intended 1-9 lineup alongside its 1-4 starting pitchers for any games after Opening Day. On the mound specifically, Tech has had three pitchers miss a combined 12 weekend starts over the last eight weekends.

• Tech got the welcomed return of Dawson Brown to the pitching staff on Sunday as he earned the win with 2.2 innings in relief.

• Tech also had Jackson Finley return to his weekend starter position and had Luke Schmolke return to form with a fine outing on Friday night in the 4-2 loss.

• Where Tech has excelled is at the plate, ranking No. 2 in the ACC in average (.317) with six .300 hitters in the lineup: Kristian Campbell (.427), Jake DeLeo (.390), Angelo Dispigna (.364), Jackson Finley (.311), Jadyn Jackson (.310) and John Giesler (.302).

• Campbell has been red-hot of late and is hitting an ACC-best .427 overall. In his last 10 games, he’s hit .400 with 16 hits, two doubles and two home runs with a .479 on-base percentage.

• The one-two punch of Campbell and DeLeo at the top has been effective this season.

• DeLeo ranks in the top 10 of the ACC in average, doubles (17), hits (67), home runs (12), RBI (45), slugging (.709) and total bases (122).

• Also sensational in his last 10 games, Dispigna has hit .409 in his last 10 games, with 18 hits, three doubles, two home runs and a whopping 12 RBI.
