Michael Sorrow III enters his fourth year as the bullpen catcher for Georgia Tech baseball.

Imperative in the training and preparation of Georgia Tech’s pitching staff, Sorrow has been a constant and steady voice in the bullpen, helping pitching coach Danny Borrell wherever needed.

Prior to Georgia Tech, Sorrow was a two-time captain at Woodward Academy and honorable mention Perfect Game All-American. He helped lead Woodward to three-straight regional championships (2017-19) and led the team to the Elite 8 three years. In 2019, the Fayetteville native earned the Colonel Burnett Award, given to the student demonstrating the highest moral excellence in mind and spirit at graduation.

No stranger to the White and Gold, both his father and grandfather played baseball at Georgia Tech and professionally and are both members of the Georgia Tech Hall of Fame. His grandfather, Mike Sorrow, Sr., attended Tech from 1969-72 before playing with the New York Yankees (1972), while his father, Mike Sorrow, Jr., played at Tech from 1992-96, being a member of the 1994 World Series team before playing with the San Francisco Giants (1996-97).
