Ben Roeser  joined the Georgia Tech women’s tennis staff as a volunteer coach in January 2022. Roeser arrived on The Flats after serving as an assistant coach at Radford.

While at Radford last fall, Roeser helped oversee the men’s and women’s tennis programs, organizing individual practices and helping facilitate team practices. He also helped in domestic and international recruiting, and operations.

Prior to his time at Radford, Roeser spent the 2020-21 season as a women’s tennis volunteer assistant at Louisville. As a Cardinal, Roeser played an intricate role in planning, organizing and facilitating individual and team practices. During the season, Louisville women’s tennis rose as high as No. 43 in the country in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings and boasted a top 15 doubles team.

Roeser spent three years at Wright State where he served at every level, beginning as the volunteer assistant for both the men’s and women’s programs in 2017. During the season he helped the women’s program to a runner-up finish in the Horizon League and mentored 13 ITA Scholar-Athletes between the two programs.

In September of 2017, Roeser was named the men’s and women’s tennis assistant coach, a position he held for two seasons. On the men’s side, Roeser helped guide the team to a successful season, tying for its most wins since 2013, while the women reached the conference semifinals two consecutive seasons. Under his tenure, both programs were named ITA Academic Teams and 16 Raiders were tabbed ITA Scholar-Athletes. Following two successful seasons, Roeser was elevated to head coach for the 2019-20 season.

Prior to his time at Wright State, Roeser served as a coach for a variety of local organizations in the Northeast.

A two-year letterwinner at Southern Indiana from 2008-2010, Roeser was a member of the nationally ranked Eagles that advanced to the round of 32 in the Division II NCAA Tournament.

Roeser earned a bachelor of liberal arts in communication and recreation education from Ohio University in 2016.
