Georgia Tech athletics established the 404 Academy to assist our student-athletes in navigating name, image and likeness. The program aims to educate, elevate and empower student-athletes to take full advantage of the new opportunities presented to them.
The academy consists of educational modules covering key topics surrounding name, image and likeness led by leaders in their field, including Georgia Tech faculty and alumni with expertise in branding, marketing, innovation, finance, taxation and entrepreneurship – all which align with the DNA of Georgia Tech.
The 404 Academy also aims to tap into the vast resources of Georgia Tech entrepreneurial network both on and off campus, providing resources, guidance and mentorship to student-athletes who wish to start their own companies or non-profit organizations.
“The 404 Academy is an example of Georgia Tech’s commitment to put our student-athletes in the best position to take advantage of name, image and likeness opportunities,” Georgia Tech director of athletics Todd Stansbury said. “At Georgia Tech, we’re uniquely positioned for our student-athletes to maximize NIL opportunities due to our location in the vibrant Atlanta market and the values of our Institution, which has produced some of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs. Our commitment to our student-athletes is to expand our investment in education and resources that will allow them to take full advantage of the opportunities that are available to them.”
In addition to the 404 Academy, every Georgia Tech student-athletes has access to educational resources through our partnership with INFLCR.
