2015 (Freshman): Made seven appearances on the mound for the season and finished with a 4.76 ERA in 11.1 innings … Of the seven appearances, six came versus ACC foes and the other versus Georgia … Four of his six earned runs allowed on the season came at No. 8 Miami … Made his collegiate debut on the mound with a pair of scoreless, one-hit innings against No. 18 North Carolina on March 21 … Worked a career-long 2.2 innings, while only giving up one unearned run and recording his first career strikeout against No. 7 Louisville on March 28 … Tossed a combined 4.0 innings of relief against Pittsburgh in Tech’s series victory … Hurled 2.0 perfect frames with a strikeout in Tech’s 9-1 win over the Panthers on May 8 … Worked 2.0 more innings in the Pitt series finale, allowing one run on four hits.
Before Tech: Four-year letterwinner at Norcross High School under head coach Jonathan Wyman … Earned 6A all-state honors in his senior season … Named to the all-region team in both 2013 and 2014 … Selected as an Atlanta Braves’ 400 Club All-Star and Gwinnett County All-Star in 2014 … Awarded Norcross High School’s Offensive MVP in his senior season after hitting .395 with 23 RBIs and just five strikeouts … Lists winning two national tournaments in Panama City with his Norcross travel team as his favorite baseball memories … Chose Georgia Tech for the academics, baseball and in-state tuition.
