2017 (Sophomore): Made 13 appearances on the mound for the Jackets, starting eight contests … His eight starts were tied for the third-most on the team … Went 2-3 overall … Threw 36.2 innings … Struck out 23 batters … Held opponents to a .266 batting average on the season … Threw a career-long 7.0 innings in a no-decision at UIC (April 28) … Registered a season-high five strikeouts versus Pittsburgh (May 7) … Earned the win allowing one run on just two hits, while striking out three in a start versus Western Michigan (Feb. 19) … Also picked up a win, surrendering just one earned run on five hits and five strikeouts in a start versus Pitt (May 7) … Held UIC (April 28) scoreless over 7.0 innings for a quality start in a 1-0 loss to the Flames … Also went 5.1 innings in a start at Duke (May 13) … Threw one scoreless inning out of the bullpen at Miami (Mar. 12) and versus No. 5 Clemson (April 2) … Also struck out two in a shutout inning of relief work in the win at Georgia State (May 19) … Allowed just one run on four hits over 4.0 innings out of the bullpen in the game at Georgia (April 11) … Also made starts versus Youngstown State (Feb. 26), against Belmont (Mar. 5), at Virginia Tech (April 22) and versus No. 8 Virginia (May 19).
2016 (Freshman): Appeared 20 times with five starts as a rookie … Posted a 3-2 record with a 4.40 ERA in 43.0 innings … As a reliever, he posted a 3.00 ERA over 27.0 innings and 14 appearances … Made his collegiate debut on Feb. 20 vs. Western Michigan, pitching a perfect inning of relief … Pitched 2.0 innings of scoreless relief and was credited with the win on Feb. 24 in a 16-inning marathon win at Georgia Southern … Made his first career start on Feb. 27 vs. UMBC, allowing one run on three hits in 3.0 innings … His second start was on March 5 vs. Western Carolina, allowing two runs on five hits in 2.0 innings … Recorded his second win of the year on March 19 vs. Virginia Tech where he was touched for one hit in 3.2 scoreless innings … Struck out a career-high seven batters en route to the win on May 10 vs. Savannah State … Gave up three runs on five hits in a career-best 5.0 innings of work versus the SSU Tigers … Made three postseason appearances … Went 3.1 innings on May 26 vs. Florida State in his postseason debut at the ACC Championship Tournament.
Before Tech: Four-year letterwinner at Buford High School under head coach Tony Wolfe … Posted an 8-1 record on the mound with 78 strikeouts and a 0.55 ERA to help his team claim the 2015 GHSA AA state title … Named to the Louisville Slugger all-America second team in 2015 … Named to the 2015 Connie Mack World Series all-tournament team … Also a three-year letterwinner as a power forward on Buford’s basketball team under head coach Allen Whitehart … A member of the honor roll all four years at Buford.
