THE FLATS — Week 9 of the 2021 NFL season saw several former Yellow Jackets had strong weeks in this edition of the #ProJackets Football Report.
The Kansas City Chiefs and kicker Harrison Butker won a grinder of a game on Sunday when they downed Green Bay 13-7. Butker hit two critical field goals on the day, including a 55-yarder, while also knocking in the extra point. Combined he scored more points than the Chiefs’ defense.
After several weeks out with a nagging ankle injury, tight end Darren Waller looked as good as he’s looked all season, hauling in seven catches for 92 yards. Despite the effort, the Raiders fell to the Giants 23-16.
The Pittsburgh Steelers won their fourth-straight game on Sunday when they outlasted the Bears 29-27. Punter Pressley Harvin III punted five times for 196 yards, downing two inside the 20-yard line in the effort.
New England stormed out to a big win over Carolina last week, downing the Panthers 24-6. With offensive lineman Shaq Mason, the Patriots amassed 273 yards of offense, including 151 yards on the ground.
