THE FLATS – A new chapter in Georgia Tech basketball has started under new head coach Damon Stoudamire, and every Yellow Jackets game will be marked not only by a new and exciting brand of basketball, but every night will be marked by thrilling promotional events geared toward fans and students alike.
The fun begins Nov. 28 as Georgia Tech has declared its ACC/SEC Challenge game against Mississippi State (7 p.m.) to be a Gold Out game. The Yellow Jackets will wear gold uniforms and 400 gold T-shirts will be given out to students. Other big giveaway nights include replica jerseys when the Jackets host Boston College on Jan. 6 (4 p.m.), Georgia Tech hats when Pitt comes to town on Jan. 23 (7 p.m.) and Buzz basketball t-shirts when Wake Forest visits on Feb. 6.
Tech will hold three 10K Shot opportunities – Duke on Dec. 2, North Carolina on Jan. 30 and Florida state on March 2 – in which a Tech student will be randomly selected and attempt a halfcourt shot for $10,000.
Major theme nights include Coaching for Literacy (Virginia on Jan. 20), Suits and Sneakers night for Coaches vs. Cancer (Pitt on Jan. 23) and Honoring Black Excellence at the Wake Forest game on Feb. 6.
Junior Jacket Days are scheduled for Mississippi State on Nov. 28, Alabama A&M on Dec. 9, Boston College on Jan. 6 and Syracuse on Feb. 17.
Single-game tickets start as low as $12, and every home game on the schedule is available, including Tech’s ACC opener against Duke on Dec. 2. The Yellow Jackets also host Boston College, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and North Carolina in the month of January, as well as Wake Forest, Syracuse, Clemson and Florida State in February and March. Tech’s 6- and 9-game mini packs also remain available.
