TOP STORYLINES
• Georgia Tech was selected as the No. 2 Seed of the Nashville Regional and will face off against the field of Vanderbilt, Indiana State and Presbyterian on June 4-6.
• This marks the second time Tech has been to Hawkins Field in the postseason. The Jackets went 3-2 in the 2013 Nashville Regional.
• The #CardiacJackets have been on full display in May, playing in seven one-run ballgames in their last 11 games, winning five of them.
• Tech ranks second in the ACC in hitting (.283), first in hits (525) and doubles (19), while ranking second in on-base percentage (.375), second in walks (238) and third in scoring (6.6).
• Kevin Parada ranks 13th nationally with 20 doubles on the year, while Justyn-Henry Malloy (45) and Tres Gonzalez (39) rank second and fifth, respectively, in the ACC in walks.
• Four Yellow Jackets are hitting .290 or better – Parada (.328), Luke Waddell (.313), Andrew Jenkins (.301), and Malloy (.290).
• Parada and Waddell both also rank tied for eight in the league with 66 hits on the year apiece.
• Waddell remains the toughest to strikeout in the ACC and the 12th-toughest nationally, averaging 13.2 at-bats per strikeout this season.
• Tech will look for its stalwart starters LHP Brant Hurter (3.74 ERA), Andy Archer (5.45 ERA) to be sharp down the stretch.
• True freshman RHP Marquis Grissom, Jr. has worked five or more innings in two of his last three starts, holding teams to two or fewer runs in two of them.
• RHP Zach Maxwell has been tremendous out of the bullpen, working a 3.26 ERA with 54 strikeouts in 30.1 IP.
