TOP STORYLINES

• Georgia Tech baseball continues its homestand as it begins Atlantic Coast Conference play against Notre Dame on March 10-11.

• Tech and the Fighting Irish will face off in its biennial tradition, having won four of the last six games against them. The series is tied at 11-11, dating back to 1924.

• Georgia Tech has looked just as potent at the plate as in years’ past, hitting .299 through 13 games for 57 extra-base hits and 24 home runs.

• Five Jackets are hitting .300 or better, led by two-way talent Jackson Finley (.471) and Jake DeLeo (.423).

• Also hitting .300 are Jack Rubenstein (.415), Angelo Dispigna (.367) and Nico Senese (.333).

• Finley became the fourth Yellow Jacket through three weeks of the 2023 season to be crowned a National Player of the Week after hitting four home runs and pitching four innings in the 4-1 win over Georgia on Sunday.

• On Sunday, Ben King received the win, pitching a flawless 3.0 innings with just two hits, no walks and three strikeouts.

• Through 10.1 innings, King has a 2-0 record, 0.00 ERA, and 13:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

• Terry Busse also came in for a six-out save, striking out five, earning his fifth save on the season, which ties for tops in the country.

• In five appearances and 8.0 innings, Busse has allowed just three hits and worked to a 16:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

• Also impressing out of Tech’s bullpen has been Joseph Mannelly (1.59 ERA), Jackson Vaughan (2.53), Aeden Finateri (3.95).

• Tech’s rotation for its ACC lid-lifter will be the same on with Dawson Brown and Finley serving as bookends. Saturday’s starter is to-be-determined.
